Commercial:Transition Investing From Single Family Homes to MultiFamily Dwelling

Darin Munson of REI Connection has been a real estate investor in DFW since 1996. He started in residential and built a multi-million dollar portfolio while working full time. He has been a full time real estate investor in residential and commercial investing for the last 6 plus years. He has done well over 100 residential deals and more than 1100 commercial multi-family units. He is a principal in a commercial property management company with a partner that manages more than 2000 units in the state of Texas. He currently develops and acquires multi-family commercial residential projects using FHA insured mortgages.

Darin is also the organizer of the Metroplex Real Estate Buying and Investing Meetup; He will come and discuss the steps necessary to transition from investing in single family homes to multi-family dwellings. The change in property type requires different strategies than single family homes. Analyzing a multi-family deal is like evaluating the purchase of a small business.
